Recalls
Recalling patients is necessary to maintain continuity of care. With this is mind, each patient has three differrent recall dates. These are located on the patient's Visits tab and are labeled Recall 1 t Recall 3.




The Recall Date 1 field is filled in automatically by the computer under certain circumstances and is the date available to you to edit while on the Charges Screen in the Billing Module Charge Entry (located in the lower left corner). We call this the primary recall date. This would be be used typically as the recall date for the next exam, while the others could be for lab or diagnsostic tests.

The field Visit is used to select what that recall date is for. Once selected the description appears. The field Examiner is for the provider the vist should be scheduled with.

When a patient calls to make an appointmemnt after getting their recall, the PracticeMaker user first finds the patients' record, and note what the recall would be before by reviewing the


Processing Recalls
To make recall labels, do the following..

Recall labels can be printed and then affixed to pre-printed postcards for mailing to patients to remind them to call for an appointment.  The label format is:

Call for a comprehensive visit!
John Smith
123 Mains STreet
Anywhere, NJ  08901

The first thing you need to do is do a practice print

• Make sure that your single row 1.0 X 3.5 inch labels are in the printer.
• At the printer dialog box  select the correct paper size (or create it as being 1" x 3.5")
• Select no gaps between pages
• Before printing the entire batch, print a small range of labels, From: 1 to 3.  Press <return>.
• If well aligned click Print on the screen and the dialog box once again appears.  This time print ALL labels.
• When done click on Menu
